[Doomlock]

Hi guys!

 

So, the stats for the T5 French battleship Bretagne have been put up:

 

She now takes the cake for slowest battleship, though I imagine that since this is stock, there may be an engine upgrade.

Still she looks decent, that HE shell velocity though, wow.

Yesterday was posting the confirmation of her at 5. These are the stats for her, which were just released.

Maximum speed - 19.9 kt, that is almost "break out the oars, Boys!" speed

Dude, NY is dead last in WR among all t5 BBs and is also dead last among all t5 BBs in average damage per battle too.

 

When the entire player base isn't "doing it right" maybe it's not the players, maybe its the ship.

I got my first kraken in her. It is more like people don't give a crap to learn it.

She's also slow, has terrible armor, and is tied with Wyoming for the worst secondary broadside among battleships in-game... to balance out her firepower and range.

See that's just it, you shouldn't have to "learn" a ship to do well in it. A good ship (or even one that doesn't suck) doesn't require learning. As long as you have in-game experience, you should be able to pick it up and do reasonably well in it. There's no sense in trying to "learn" a tier 5 battleship if you're just going to sell it once you get to tier 6 anyways (like most people do).

so she has weaknesses to make her not OP so she is under powered? you get up close and use her firepower sure she can use some help but she is not a bad ship

She has the worst battleship secondary broadside (with Wyoming) in-game? Nope, that's also a fact.

that make no sense what so ever you should have to learn how to play a ship to do well in it not everything needs to be a Nikoli or a Sipan

Her performance across all serves suggests otherwise.

 

I never said that you cant do well in her, just that it's harder to do well in her than literally any other tier 5 battleship.

The conclusion is what comes down to being opinion.

The game should have skill.Coupled with the normal "pick up and play".

Back to the main point here, this new bb will be on par with the New York, but there is no reason for it to be a bad thing.

It makes plenty of sense. You should be able to pick up a tier 5 BB and do at least average damage. Yes, you have to learn a ship to get really good in it, but you should not have to learn a ship to win games and do average-tier damage.

 

In either event, any adjustments/learning should happen quickly. Obviously, people aren't adjusting to/learning NY quick enough. You should learn any quirks and playstyles a ship might have in the first couple of games, it should not take you until you are ready to research NM to finally get the hang of NY.

Uh no @Doomlock the slowest ship in the game is the USS Langley at 15 knots.

He specifically said "battleship"

 

And it's not "USS Langley" its just "Langley". For all we know Langley in-game may not even be modeled after the actual USS Langley. Just like how our Wyoming is actually modeled after Arkansas.
