Japanese DD tech tree problem?

Hi, I unlocked and purchased Yugumo and Akizuki.

The upgraded torpedo (Type93 mod. 2) of Akizuki is the stock one on Yugumo. So one may think that if you unlock Yugumo, then the torpedo (Type93 mod. 2) is automatically unlocked for Akizuki.

However, it is not the case! See the attached pictures. One clearly shows that I have Type93 mod. 2 on my Yugumo. While the other one shows that Type 93 mod. 2 on my Akizuki is not researched.

Is this a glitch of the Japanese DD line?

Any comments?

i dont know because i remember from a long time ago i could unlock torps from the cruiser line and it would be unlocked for the DDs..but they may have removed that

Wait really? I didn't know this. Admittedly, most ships don't share modules unless they're torpedoes, but that makes for a slower grind. I'm used to the WoT / WoWP model, where modules can be shared.
