reticule In game Reticule view locked out?

As the title states.

 

I get the frequent in-game reticule mode (by pressing Shift) to be locked out. 

Specially, when after I have targeted a ship. Once I have pressed Shift to come out of the said target ship. I get locked out of the reticule view for a time frame. Of which I can't reliably time (once I'm stuck out of it). Or why it occurs. 

Also, my ship controls are perfectly working. Propulsion, and Rudder all working. 

What is not working are; Reticule view, and my guns being stuck at a certain angle/position (I have pressed "X" to check if it was "locked" to sector or bearing).

Now, before I entertain the; "Is this some sort of hack?" route. There has got to be some viable reason to this occurring.

I have carefully, checked my key bindings as well. Nothing unusual there.

 

Has anyone else have experienced this?

Are you sure you are not going into free view? That would explain a few things.

This is the most common reason for my zoom getting "locked". The game thinks my right mouse button is stuck down. Try clicking RMB and see if it clears.

Thank you both. I'll see if clicking the RMB will sort it out next time it occurs.
