So, what ship will...

Inspire the most posts about how "nerfed" or "OP" it is?  Now, of course, we're months from seeing the game.  Yet, this is the same crowd that has complained for ages that the Tiger I doesn't simply dominate tanks which are tiered above it... so I think a few things are predictable.

My picks?

Nerfed:  I think we'll have to wait until the German ships come in.  That said, no matter how awesome they make it, we'll still hear how the Bismarck is "unfairly nerfed" or the like.

(Special Mention:  Depending on how they handle torpedos, the Japanese CA's may also get this award.  For that matter, if they don't carry full torpedo loads, they will be badly nerfed.)

OP:  Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to... Iowa! Speed, armor and precision fire control.  This bad boy will induce rage from all corners.

Anyway, place your bets, place your bets.

To be honest until we get more details about the game its too hard to say.  Maybe it will be carriers maybe it will battleships or hell even destroyers.  But it doesn't hurt to hope that by some miracle the game comes out good and we don't need nerfs and buffs.  ( I know, basically impossible)

Iowa, definately.  That sucker's Radar fire control will be like giving an IS-7 the M48's On the Move accuracy.

Well once the devs put in the unbuilt/protoype ships like the lion class, H-class and montana classes, i believe the balance will be much harder to maintain.

there will be definitely buffs and nerfs
there will be no perfect games, only good games that needs improvements
and buffs and nerfs are improvements concerning game balances

I believe that the situation in WoWS will not be how it is in WoT or WoWP, battleships will not reign supreme in tier 10 fights, i think they would go as high as tier 9, and ships like cruisers and carriers would go up to tier 10. battleship just isnt as effective because of missile after ww2.

the Montana class will be balanced against the Super Yamato, i guess
as both are the improved version of already made Iowa and Yamato class
Iowa and Yamato are two comparable ships, and i believe they would be in the same tier
so Montana and Super Yamato would be at the same tier, for easier balancing

i dont think so
just like WoT in Pre 7.5
HTs are the only T10 vehicles
MTs TDs SPGs do not end at T10

in WoWS, i guess only BBs would be T10 vehicles at the beginning stage
i guess there would be scout purpose DDs at T5 end of line
also, T10 CA/CL/BC/CV would come later, like 7.5 of WoT

unless they changed something recently  I was under the impression that they were not going with any of the Guided missle cruiser type ships

The Montana wasn't an improved Iowa, the Montana was an Iowa that traded speed for armor and firepower.  They may have looked similar, but the underlying design concepts were as different as night and day.

The British were the largest naval power going into the War, i just hope they are not ignored as much as in the other 2 games...

its quite hard to say that the iowa and yamato are balanced. iowa was technologically superior that the yamato thanks its it radar assisted fire control systems. and its more difficult to say that the montana and super yamato are 'improved' versions. Until the devs have fully looked at the exact specs of these battleships, balance cannot be assumed by looking at the time period when the ship was built or its size/firepower.

The difference is you can defend yourself from the incoming "shells" when they're relatively large and slow flying planes and you have hundreds of anti-air guns.

Well in games like these the devs tend to lessen major advantages.  I can see the Yamato being given a similar fire control system to the Iowa.  That's not entirely out of the question since countering nations tend to have a technological give and take.

Remember this wont be a sim, much of the shooting will probably be a point a click type of thing, maybe going by arty view like in WoT?

While the performance was highly debatable as its design was not very specialized, Yamato class also had Radar assisted fire control system.

I think the biggest cries about being OP will go to those Japanese hybrid aircraft carriers, who can launch planes but also have some decent cannons to defend themselfs with.

South Dakota (1930s) will almost certainly draw OP as a Tier below the Iowa. Other likely votes go to anything using Long Lance torpedoes and the Des Moines.

Bismarck will certainly draw "nerfed" complaints, for the same reason the TIger does.
