Clan wars? How is it going?

What's the scoop guys? If there is a thread, ....I missed it. Is there a long que, short que...steamrolls, great games....prominent clans winning all, tough teams, tough match ups? Share some feedback!....As a retired 2200 threes player (for those that know, you know) I'm dying to hear how its going so far!

I didn't bring it up so that it gets bashed, I am hoping that some successes come from of it as I think more options for game modes is/are a good thing.

Everything I have seen from the people who have played it was actually all positive.

Low wait times (never more than 20s for us), the battles have been fun, mostly pretty close but a few blow outs. Points are often the factor that decides the game.

We are enjoying CW, even if the restrictive hours are hampering our efforts as a global timezone clan. Definitetly not 'community' friendly, but enjoyable from a gameplay point of view. Quality team work based matches make a welcome change from random battles.

Doing pretty for for us I think. Our Strat of 7 dds is working wonderfully.

It's really fun, I just hate the 3 hour window. (It kills it for us pacific time zone guys who have to miss multiple days because we get back from work 2+ hours in. =/

Now if they had the 3 hour window but different times (based on time zone) I would be more than thrilled about that.

It's been a blast.  I don't know what more there is to really be said.  Queue times are good, the battles are fun, the rewards are great......it's been an all around great experience.  

*My only problem is that CW has screwed up all of my standard battle captain builds....but alas it can't be helped.

Regular maps but with different cap layouts, only spotted 4 maps so far.

Honestly, I'm glad everyone's enjoying it.  Now, if they'll just fix those hours of operation....

the DDs are surprisingly useful, despite claims that they would be wrecked by cruiser focus fire.

The two games my clan were able to play were exactly what I have wanted out of this game for so long. The results don't even matter it's the experience and improvements in after. 

 

Now, if they could just fix the timings to be more amenable for the majority....

My clan isn't big enough to participate in Clan Wars, even if we could miraculously get everyone to show to play at the same time. Sad Snarg is sad. Well, maybe next year.

I've been having a blast.  My clan has been able to field 2 full teams every session and last night we had 3 full teams going.  The matches at the top are getting tougher and it's been really interesting to see the strats and see what we can do to counter the various strats as the meta evolves.   I don't mind the 3 hour window personally as it works for my schedule and helps prevent burnout.

 

I think the the best thing for me is just the joy of playing a full 7 person voice comm division.  Having the whole team communicating and working together is such a breath of fresh air from randoms or even smaller 3 person divs.   

 

As for whos at the top, I think the cream is rising as everyone expected it would.  Our clan made Typhoon 1 right away, but we're now joined closely by several other tough teams.  The adrenaline that comes when you queue and find yourself in a battle with one of the other top clans has been exciting for me.
