Fair and Balanced Gameplay?

Be honest, does the game seem balanced to you?

I don't know what to say, but this is going on long enough.

For the past month, I've been suffering from serious losing streak where my team is all but obliterated with an enemy that has suffered very low losses every time I play the game. At times, I've suffered more than 10 losing matches in a row just to achieve one victory. It can't be a coincidence that I would be placed in such a predicament and I feel like I'm not alone.

Do you think WG needs look into it? I think so for I believe that both sides should have a balanced team where players of all kinds (the noobs, the average, and the highly skilled) should be mixed together.

As much as it sucks, there is only so much the devs can do about this problem.

Honestly all you can do is fight your best; when having a bad day, change your ship, or change your game for the day.

Relying on feelings for this is a fools errand. Feelings are fickle friends and not an objective way to look for balanced matches. I've had both winning and losing streaks. I usually take a break if I lose 3 in a row. Often if one continues it's easier to get frustrated and because you are frustrated you start to do things that are counterproductive to good winning gameplay. Fatigue can also set in and reduce your odds of winning. Perhaps you would find LWM's guide to controlling winrate helpful.

Stats and averages make my brain go numb... but I am dimly aware that it all evens out more or less, down the road, don't hold your breath; no, wait for it: winning streaks have to happen as often as losing streaks but the mind remembers the pain more directly than the fleeting pleasures. Or somesuch.

All losing streaks are part of a higher cognizant benign luck of the draw... except of course when they don't feel such.

When I get 3 losses in a row I pretend a S.W.A.T. has burst into the room yelling "LET GO OF THE MOUSE AND MOVE AWAY SLOWLY FROM THE KEYBOARD!"

Or I start to repeat the mantra "Not at home for Mr Losing Streak" --and brother, I walk.

[Or this from Zen & the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance by Robert Pirsig: "The Buddha is at home as much in a motorcycle gearbox as he is in the petals of a lotus."]

The vast majority of losses I endure is due to a severe imbalance in a handful of premium ships. The Saipan being the single largest culprit of the lot.

If only it were just one day, and not everyday single day that I play the game. I change my ship, and change my play style more than I usually do and I still snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
