Tired of computer AI

All it does is launch a salvo of torps right as I am going in front of it to broadside me and kill me your computer AI is sop stupid i swear just get rid of it dumb as a box of rocks.

This is in random play not co-op being a new player is stupid when the AI teaches you nothing but how to kill your allies...

So, what?  Are you talking about Randoms or Co-ops, because the AI you keep complaining about is in Co-ops, not Randoms.

AI doesn't teach anything. It just screams banzai, charges you, and gives you opportunities to improve your aim, maneuver, positioning, etc.

Early on in low tier Random you get a mix of AI and human players.

You are wrong.. Do you even play this game?  Before a certain level (think 9) it will fill both sides up with computer AI and then 1-2 real players on each side. This is in random until a specific level.

That wasn't a feature when I started this game. Sorry to have forgotten. I still stand by my last statement - the bots give you opportunities to learn what not to do. If you give me your broadside and I have torps you'd be dead quicker than you can spit. Don't do that again. Learn from mistakes. Don't rant about them. It makes you look bad...

And you are supposed to use that time to learn map awareness.  If you are letting Bots on either side kill you just wait until you run into actual players...

I think it is newish.  Certainly introduced after January of 2016 when I started playing.

Is this a team mate A.I. or an enemy A.I. that torps you?  Just a suggestion, try not to go in front of them either way.....bad enough that you cannot trust most humans when it comes to torping or being torped.

Not sure about the bots in Randoms; like Khafni said; that wasn't around when I started.

 

I will say though; it is amazing in Co-op how the bots manage to wait until the absolute worst possible moment to launch torps at you, basically that second or two when you have 0% chance to evade...

Again you are wrong.  Bots rush in stop and stay put, change targets like a girl changes shoes, and other things no human being does. Also this is not about an enemy bot torping my side it is about a FRIENDLY bot torping my side even when I was sailing in the exact direction as he was for over 30 seconds. So learn reading comprehension or simply do not post.

Look... by this forum's standards people are being nice and trying to help.  You don't have nearly enough experience in the game to determine what other players will or won't do.  Take the advice offered... don't take the advice offered.  Either way. But don't go around telling players who have far more experience than you do that they are wrong.  It won't help anything.

Yeah the bot AI and torps, well really anything can be pretty stupid. Sometimes I swear it is modeled on new players where they just focus a target and keep shooting at it without watching for anything in the way.

 

Specifically with torps, you just learn if you are with bots never be between them and the enemy, they will just launch torps at enemies without any concern for intervening items, players, islands, just torp right down the cone.  On the plus side it is funny to make the enemy bots torp each other by sailing around them. 

 

Anyway just hold on a bit longer, when you play I think 100 matches it stops throwing bots into random matches. Then if there are not enough low tier players you end up with weird matches like 2 v 2.

I comprehend the written word. All your posts said nothing about a FRIENDLY bot until the last one. You, sir, are a troll. If we are in a match together, whichever the side, I will torp you. It will be my first intentional, and most enjoyable, TK ever!

Feel like I'm talking to an eleven-year-old here, but no, I do play the game.  A lot.  Nearly 7000 matches over more than two years now, and have been reasonably successful in that time.  Some of us may know what we are talking about.

 

Early on you are restricted to playing against bots in Co-ops only.  Your team of humans plays against an all bot team, though sometime bots are mixed your team as well.  Later, when you get to a higher account level, Random Matches open up and you play with and against teams of humans.

 

Now, if you're already having issues against bots at low tiers, you are really going to have a rude awakening when you start playing against humans regularly.
