British Battleships build ?

I am going to start working my way through the British Battleship line and i was looking around on the boards and in the Vids of builds for this line of ships and i have not found much on this topic at all. Any idea where i can look ?

I run a 19pt Survival/Concealment build on my Conqueror.

 

The following build: (in order of acquisition)

  1. priority target
  2. Adrenaline Rush
  3. Superintendent
  4. Concealment Expert
  5. Expert Marksman
  6. Basics of Survivability
  7. Fire Prevention

 

For modules I focused on Main battery dispersion and reload as well as concealment. I have no bonuses to my AA or secondaries.

 

It's not the definitively "right" build but it is one that capitalizes on the strengths of the top tier UK BBs.

The conqueror has very few secondaries to begin with and their range is as short as the Americans. I wouldn't focus on them too much.

 

Your big three traits are: Main guns, concealment, and heals. 

 

Focus on those three and you'll do fine.

 

side tip: when you get to the Lion and Conqueror learn to conserve your heals. One repair party can repair up to 40k hp if you time it right

This cpt build, but i would change the order of AR and EM and get EM first. The turret traverse of low tier RN BB is terrible.

I started out with 1 build, then changed it to another that has been the most viable in my Conq

 

1. preventive maintenance

2. expert marksman

3. superintendent

4. fire prevention

5. basics of survivability

6. adrenaline rush

7. jack of trades

8. high alert

 

While CE is nice, foregoing it keeps you just slightly worse concealment than a Monty. UK BB's are mid-range ships to begin with so getting closer than 14km should be a no no anyway.

This is the build I use, I find fire prevention fairly useless, besides if people are smart they will shoot AP because it's harder for you to heal. I get a couple fires? Who cares, I can heal all of that damage with one button.

 

Concealment is one of its strengths, get it down to the minimum 11.8 km... this has numerous advantages, like blinking in and out of view even when you are 12-13km away... it also helps as a detector for knowing a DD is close.

 

High alert / jack of trades / bos all boost the survivability of an already tough ship.
