Do we have any info on what its actually like to pilot one of these?

What does it feel like to have only deep water torps and no option for normal torps?

Please do not post if you have not played the ships. Also keep the salt in the other threads.

The PA DDs are still under NDA. You can only read rumors and speculation/leaks.

Ok, so no public testing info yet eh?

No, like I said, wait for more public figures to get a hold of the ships and share that with the community.

The people who have them now aren't allowed to talk about them.

Threads like this are one of many reasons why we're not allowed to talk about our experiences thus far.  Test ship parameters are always subject to change, and any impressions the testers have at this point are not useful to share as they represent versions of ships that may never exist again. This is also why the Community Contributor program is great for providing information to the community, since they can and do share their impressions with everyone in order to answer questions just like this one.

The best answer has already been given; a little patience is all that's required.  Sooner or later the very fine group of WOWS CCs will have all the info you want short of having one in your own port.

Do they float though?

I wonder how many people remember this archaic joke

Most people do i suspect.  It's the standard issue response.  However, i do also give out soopar sekret info, such as the fact that they go "pew pew" as well.

This.  In my opinion it's a mistake to let the CCs have them so early in the testing process.  Delay release for a week and let the CCs play them only after they are finalized.  The ST's should be allowed to do their jobs in as much peace as possible.

The entire release process seems to be taking longer and longer (though it could be that we hear more earlier).

Royal Navy Cruisers were in test for what felt like forever, at 2 months.

Royal Navy Battleships were revealed over 3 months before they went live.

German Destroyers (rushed/borked) and French Cruisers (boring and easy test) went a bit better.

Now Pan-Asian DD, where T6, 8, 9 and 10 are basically clones, have taken over 2 months from show-off and still show no sign of being ready: https://worldofwarships.asia/en/news/live-streaming/fb-live-20170808/

German battleships back in the day took only 45 days, Russian cruisers took just 12 days from line-spoil to release.

Why is this taking so long? Is something wrong with the balancing department? Is testing being done at a later point? Are there simply more bad ideas to work through (Radar on Conq...)?

The plan was to put out 4 lines this year I thought, we're pretty far in with only FR CA and RN BB to show for it. Problem?
