I'm getting really tired of folks chiming in at the beginning of a match about how they are going to lose for whatever reason. I'm talking the first chat of the game. Look, I know some folks out there are defeatist...go ahead be that way. But DO NOT ANNOUNCE IT TO THE WORLD!!! Defeatism is contagious..it poisons the mind. And it becomes self fulfilling. So if all you got to say is that you are going to be destroyed or lose...then STFU. I don't want to hear it...and the team doesn't want to hear it. Now, strategic or tactical talk about a mismatch...that's OK. Strategy to overcome a deficit...OK. Or even simply pointing out a mismatch...that's OK. But not..."OMG...[mismatch]...I'm going to die". People that decide the match is over before it starts just because we have a typically weaker CV or the enemy has a strong premium are really annoying. I can maybe remember a handful of games where someone writes in chat that it's hopeless right from the start of the game. In my experience, the defeatistattitude starts when: (1) there are AFKs/slow loading players; or (2) DDs get wiped off the map in the first few minutes. On a funny side note, when I was doing the Corgi Fleet thing, sometime after my 70th battle.. someone (with XVM) was putting in chat... "Oh great, we have a <insert bad carrier> and they have a <insert good carrier>, it's a loss" or something along those lines. I do see the subtle defeatism more often, such as complaining about how one side got one more battleship or destroyer, or more ships with radar. We don't want to hear that. When your CV's USN and enemy CV's IJN, AND on top of that, your CV's 30% win rate while the enemy is 60%.
