If it was me, it'd be luck. Usually Flesh Wound awards are luck for me. Base on your stats, I'm going to say your skill allowed for the good luck.

Luck is overrated the better you get. Certainly has a lot to do with it though. For example, I've been accused of "being lucky" for simply knowing the torp ranges of all the ships and therefore knowing when to turn away. Luck could be argued to be subjective in relation to one's knowledge of the game and ability to process that information under fire/pressure. There's always gonna be that torp wall that goes by you like whoaaaaa.....that's luck if you had no idea it's coming. But if you are actively WASD because you know there's a DD around, it is no longer 100% luck. The better I get the less luck I see in this game.

As per usual, having a really good game in the Minotaur usually ends watching from the sidelines.  You certainly managed smoke/guns/torps as well as any player could in that situation - great game.

Well I'd have to say there's a little luck involved but for the most part I know you're a good player so I think there's a lot of skill at work

The answer to the question posed in the thread title is so easy.  

 

Luck is what happens when your enemy does something to you.  

 

Skill is what happens when you do something to your enemy!

The skill you have + the luck you get = the outcome.

 

The more skill you have, the less luck you need.

 

Luck has two components - pure random chance and RNG. The pure random chance governs who spawns in on the other side. The RNG? That's a whole 'nother debate. ;)

My luck or skill is knowing which cap will have 80% of the reds near it - whatever it is I steam straight at it.
