Well, I suppose it's official now.  Yesterday kept bringing conflicting reports.

He is a true musical legend.

Tom Petty's music defined many of my formative years. Rest in peace, sir, and thank you for so much.

Its a bummer, of that there is no doubt.

For me as a guy Tom Petty was critical to my learning process.

You know that girl, you know " the Girl", her name name was "Lisa" and she was cuter than Mila Kunis ever was. of course since I am over 50 and you guys would most likely know how cute Valerie Bertinelli used to be, but that is who she really looked like, but smaller.

But she brought me a Tom Petty album. I will never forget that album.

NO!!  This sux!!!!  I was just listening to him yesterday...

Tom is one of my favorite singers- not quite Gregg Allman favorite, but right up there!  As a child of the 70's and 80's, I grew up on his music.

This year has sucked, First Gregg, and now Tom, too...  Don Rickles died in 2017 as well.

My local classic rock station played Tom Petty all evening long when the news broke. As well, this past Monday, him and the Heartbreakers had just finished their 40th anniversary tour. The world will miss such a music legend.

Yea same here they have been playing them.

I still remember John Lennon's assassination back 1980:Smile_sad:
