I wonder if Event BBs in Halloween Scenario mode will have improved Repair Party with temporary Damage Resistance buffs but also gain a special "Draw Aggro" consumable? Tank and draw fire for a few seconds before the AI shifts back to targeting DDs first (or cruisers, if a DD also triggered Anti-Target).

If all the game design creativity, programmer time, and general resources and effort was put into developing a CV/AA rework instead of building some temporary Halloween novelty queue.

  That anti-damage consumable sounds awesome!  Might actually be able to play Farragut for more than 5 minutes!  (%$#@&^%* gun bloom mechanic...)

  Having just pushed my USN BB' line to tier 10, I'm now taking a break from BB's and working on getting my DD's out of tier 6 hell.

In all seriousness, the folks working on the Halloween stuff (and other, similar projects) have as much to do with your latest whine issue as the Amish do with intercontinental ballistic missiles.

The Anti-Targeting system is likely to be pretty useless outside of PvE, and likely just for the Event DDs in the first place. It's likely just a code switch that reduces Event DDs from being priority target #1 to priority target #2 or #3 for X amount of seconds, then the AI goes right back to prioritizing DDs as target #1.

 

I do wonder if it does shift the aggro to cruisers though. That'd be pretty funny. Especially if Event BBs don't gain a "Draw Aggro" ability as well as a temporary Damage Resistance buff while using either/both DCP or RP (basically a classic MMO-style Tank; drawing aggro while temporarily increasing their durability/resistance).

Seems like the team that's thinking up and programming new mechanics for X could apply their talents to trying to think up and program new mechanics for problem Y.

 

If it's not their job, make it their job. They have the appropriate skillset.
