I have played over 6000 games on World of Warships and for the most part I find the game

a enjoyable experience.I have a navy that consists 24 ships ( tiers 1 to 9) and include all ship

types. One of the major problems I have with the game is Commander experience. Here is

why. My Omaha commander is at level 13 (16684/13200) so to get this commander to elite

status it requires 1244316 commander experience. For a tier 5 ship this is total bull. The problem

is apparent for my other 23 ships also. I suggest that the developers look at reducing the number

commander experience required to reach the elite status for all tiers. I have my doubts that this

happen but it is worth the post

Well, the total amount of XP to reach 19 points is the same regardless of tier or nation. And it is actually less XP overall than it used to be to get a max level captain.

They already massively reduced it and added the Elite Commander XP mechanic to help spend XP on specific captains you want to level.

and with the new skills matrix a 10 pointer can have a skill at each level. Lower tiers, less goodies.Another thing is the balance. With a high point a lower tiers the new players are facing a bigger threat. (Used to run a 19-pointer in the Isokaze and it really was seal clubbing before the nerf to IJN dd

It is what it is , once you get a 19 point commander it makes it that much easier to get another one ,Ive got 6 of em

took me months of grinding to get an 18 point Captain in Murmansk and was halve way to 99999999 when the19 pointers came and elite XP started, so I dought any big changes to commanders coming

Well.. one way (ahem) you can boost it is through premium time. Lots of flags help as well. So do premium ships... consider: if they lower the entrance price that's fewer grinding, fewer people having to play frequently to rank up. Less time means you are less likely to get well, addicted to the game.

I finally accepted the advice frequently given to get your first 19-point captain as soon as you can.  I got my first on the Cleveland since i enjoyed the ship and have a few USN premiums (and that was the closest).  After that, it became easier to grind Commander Elite XP to use on other commanders.  6 months later I know have an RN, USN, and Perth 19 point Commanders.  I recently had 2.4M Elite XP because I couldn't decide which Commander to level up next - French or German.  I am down to 1.6M now because I used some Elite xp to raise a few Commanders a couple of points and did a couple of respecs.

It was difficult making the choice to grind one ship (plus premiums) to get the Commander to 19-points, but it is well worth.  make sure it is on a ship you like to play and preferably in a line you will continue up.

should use it more often. Thanks to all

I like the commander xp just the way it is.  Have 9 or 10 19-pointers + 1.25M in elite commander xp.  The system works great, no reason to make it easier to pimp out low-tier ships - the game is built for you to progress up the tiers, not hang out endlessly at T5 & 6.

3000+ game noob here.   Got a 16 pt captain as my highest (I play all ship types, so most are in the 12-15 pt range).    Decided to work on that 16 pt skipper to get him to 19.

Once he's at 19, all his XP is elite XP, correct?   You then use that to supplement the other captains, and boost them up quicker?   So, it snowballs pretty quickly after the first 19pt skipper?

Correct.  They are great in premium ships (during the week for me), premium time if u can afford. I go premium time on weekends usually, and load the ship up with flags.  I only really run flags with prem time.

It seems like it's worth having ONE premium ship that does useful slaughter in its tier, while not being horrendously expensive. Grind ONE captain up in that at a time (seal clubbing though it may be) and spec him according to the ship he's going into. The alternative is to run a premium account. On the one hand, that one premium ship is a one-off purchase and need not be terribly expensive. On the other, the premium account benefits (increases XP and money from) all ships in your fleet.
