Dear WG when are we going to get a German Battlecruiser

Hi WG

Its great your designing all these ships for us I look forward to USS Massachusetts,October Revolution and Giulio Cesare as well as all various other ships from the HMAS Vampire to the Pan Asia line coming great stuff will probable buy most of them.

But hey there is only so many true battleship class ships one can take specially when they all seem to be ships that served mostly throughout WW2.

Like really how many South Dakota class ships are we going to have in game.

Who's next USS Indiana or USS South Dakota herself' hell go for broke might as well make the entire class Premiums.

WE have British and Japanese Battle Cruisers under the guise of Battleships.

However a not whisper or rumour about 1 little ol German Battle Cruiser on the horizon.

So WG how about it, what about a Von Der Tan, Seydiltz or a Lutzow  any one of them will do.

Mackensen or Ersatz Yorck would be more like it. Might actually buy a T7 or 6, not too interested in anything that would be 5 or below myself.

Buy to win. But still potato. Enough premium ships for a while. Too many Derpitz already. Not too mention lot of sharnhost that play like british cruiser. Slow down introducing new ships. Tq

Premium, Tech Tree split, whole Tech Tree.... whatever. Just get these history soaked, battle hardened ships in the game. I would love to play the von der Tann, Derfflinger, Seydlitz, or Goeben.

 

We have not heard a peep, and that is just puzzling.

SMS Lutzow would be lovely, though I would prefer SMS Hindenburg because she was slightly larger and faster than her sister ships. Right now WG is focused on WW2 and post-war ships though.

Except she wasn’t. She and her sisters were their own designation. Panzerschiff.

Nope, Graf Spee never was a battlecruiser. GS was a heavy cruiser.

SMS Blucher for tier IV Cruiser when. She's basically a scaled down battlecruiser in terms of aesthetics, armor and armament layout, but would keep down on the low tier BB spam. A true Panzerschiffe. Slow and powerfully armed and armored against cruisers, but mincemeat for a same tier battleship.

Probably about the same time we get a British battlecruiser.

 

IE, when and if they ever add full separate tech tree lines for battlecruisers, and not before.

Wow, that's incredibly passive aggressive. WG will release some new German ships when they need money, as Kriegsmarine releases are wildly popular. If the battle cruisers are added, they'll be designated as battleships. If they are included in the tech tree then I would anticipate them existing as a bridge between the BB and CA lines with no Tier X of their own.

You're in luck, they already added 2: Scharnhorst and Gneisnau.

Scharnhorst is only a battlecruiser in technicality using the German standard for battlecruisers due to 11" guns (German BCs are opposite of Britich BCs, which carry less armor but full sized guns).  Gneisenau is 100% a battleship even by German definition with the 15" main guns.

Then people who make these threads need to be specific: "I want world war 1 battlecruisers, anything after 1920 does not count".

Except already have one. Scharnhorst. She follows the WW1 pattern. Heavier protection with smaller guns. Which is what WW1 German BCs did.
