So after a monumentally garbage day IRL, I decided to unwind with some low tier play, which eventually saw me leave port in my Ishizuchi. Standard battle, I don't recall the map, but it was a tier IV game. Most of the team (DDs, Cruisers, and BBs) call a defensive strategy and stay in the cap circle, while a Phoenix, a low tier DD, and myself attempt to swing wide into the opponent's cap. Fighting ensues, pretty standard stuff, I've got about 50k damage mid-match and have set-up kills for the other two ships that are with me. It's at this point that the Phoenix starts ragging on the BBs on our team for no discernable reason. I brush it off, but this Phoenix just won't shut up, and at one point a Kawachi on our team begins hamming it up like he's a caveman. The Phoenix gets so into going back and forth with the guy that she sails straight into a salvo of enemy torpedoes and dies. We end up losing the match, but the top four players on the team were the BBs that she was bad-mouthing, and she was second from the bottom.

 

Maybe...I don't know...worry about sailing your own ship?

Arguing in chat and getting so distracted you get turned into an artificial reef.  If it weren't funny at times it would be tragic.

 

Could be a commercial for Farmers Insurance.

I've been called a dumb....you know.... for firing my guns and "giving position away." In a Khabarovsk....conveniently I ended up with almost 2k base XP on a loss......

Looking at the score board after the battle,normally the top on the losing team has better EXP awarded than 3/4 of the winning team, so yes top loser is something to take pride in knowing you beat out 19 other players in the battle

In low tier (2/3/4) matches, I'll sometimes comment to people that they're giving their position away by doing that, but I never call them names.  I just mention it.

Depends on the person. Sometimes it is strategic to do so... especially for a ijn dd.

Yeah, it's always a DD I mention that to, but I never say anything mean.  I just comment.  If they ask anything, I point them to look up concealment on the wiki and find about gun bloom.
