Yorck Tips For All (including me)

I was just wondering how to do better in the Yorck, my most recent battle was 143,625 damage, as can be seen in the screenshot below, please ignore the blue scribbled out section, I would post a replay but I have no idea how, I think it wouldn't be a bad idea to make this available to the general public. Please share your replays and experiences with the Yorck, and compare with later tier German CAs, I would like to know, please be constructive to others, as I, and likely many others, does not consider myself an "experienced" player.

you play it like any other cruiser, really. it's good in good hands, and dead in bad hands.

the only real tip is to not fire the AP at anything further than 10km because of the shell drag at distance. other than that, it's just your typical T7 cruiser.

I noticed, the only times I break that rule is for spamming over from behind nearby islands, even then, it’s more to demoralize whoever is being shot at because the ship shooting has orbital arcs that go over large islands, I love the HE though, and thanks for the tips. Know any ways to upload the replay though?

I played mine mainly during the second ranked season. Just stay at range and fire and when the enemy is week then you can brawl. It was lots of fun and if memory serves me correctly it was effective. Nothing like charging down the center of two ships torpedoing them both and surviving. 

Edit: This worked best on maps with lots of good cover that you can use to close on the enemy. That season had a lot of that so this tatic worked well.
