LWM summed it up with general playing to win. Don't count on your team, period.

Play passive, those are your planes not the teams. Don't just help out by sacrificing planes. Make sure who ever requests them has earned it. If they have or spam requests just ignore them.

Sun Tsu that is the actual Sun Tsu says this even better Be were the enemy isn't expecting you to be. Your teammates requests are a good hint at where the enemy expects you to be.

I find patrolling the rear flank more beneficial to Carriers especially when you have wronged the MM gods and are bottoms tier. You tend to catch enemies in a more favorable for you engagement.

Turn off team chat you will be howled at but your interests in regards to planes have to come first. Those planes will run out quickly if you spread them out. Also there are pretty much your only line if defense. Never rely on the team to protect you.

Each sortie should be profitable to you first, the team second. Fighter should intercepting bombers headed for you not scouting for teammates. Use dive bombers for scouting as they can damage anything they find.

In closing it's your Carrier not the teams. Play it like that and you will have fun.

Well, if you want to be so selfish, why not take it into coop?

Turn off teamchat...?

Yep works wonder makes random suddenly bearable. All the toxic voices silenced. I actually my damage scores and therefore payouts have risen. As I am focused on staying alive versus helping someone else who put themselves in a bad position stay alive.

Also to throw it back your direction why is anyone entitled to the Carriers assistance.

Not saying don't help but if a carrier player doesn't see a profit for himself in doing he shouldn't.

No please do not send him to Co-Op.

Some players enjoy Co-Op.

I should add one last thing turning off team chat does not turn off all notifications. You still get requests support only without the distractions that ruin your focus.

Careful, he'll rename the thread and spout on and on about it being locked

End of the day, Carriers work the same way the other classes do:

teamwork + focus fire = win / lone wolf + every man for himself = loss

Its why even unicum teams have lost to "potato" teams back in surpremacy; you can be a pub-star but it won't carry to a W if the enemy is coordinated.

By CVs helping to keep their team alive with fighter cover, spotting, and striking, the team can in turn contest the caps and play with the aggression needed to win. If CVs just say "[edited] it" and play conservatively or don't trade planes, their team will fall. This is especially more severe at the higher tiers.

Ignore it. Ignore it all. This is the worst advice for a new CV captain ever. This guy just needs to take a permanent break from the forums.
