1,431 [MOLD] m373x Members 3,885 posts 24,515 battles Report post #2 Posted September 26, 2017 Removing AFT from Des Moines to build a more optimal captain for ranked, then playing in random battles with said Des Moines captain just to get laughed at by enemy CV players as you fail to shoot planes past 5km unless you respec again. And then switch them back afterward? What?? To reiterate, hopefully in a clearer way... m373 said that he would respect his "FU CV" captains. That is, his captains that were anti-air builds. While I don't mind not seeing CV's in these clan battles, this is one aspect that I hadn't considered. While I don't think that the intent of no CVs was to indirectly cause players to spend money on gold for captain respecs, it will likely have that result for quite a few people. Also consider that I imagine that quite a few people might change a couple of their upgrade modules for the same reason. After all, if you're playing a Montana in CB's, do you really need an AA module in slot #2? Not really, but the secondary module might be more useful, even though it's far from optimal in a normal random battles situation. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I get it - WG doesn't want it, so we'll not see it. But considering they throw new events and scenarios into the game, which do promote some particular builds, having a single skill change would be nice. If it were a money grab, I'd expect that you'd get a lot more people swapping single skills more often, than waiting for them to take the full doubloon charge. I can count the times I've reset my skills on three fingers. If you could swap out a single skill, I would have done that many more times - more than making up for my lack of full resets.
