Unsure - AA Sporadic?

Hope someone can answer: My AA on my FDG and Murmansk seems to fire a short burst once every 4-6 seconds as planes are nearby. Ideas?

Sounds like the long range AA, it doesnt fire as often. If they get closer youll see more of the mid and short range AA start firing.

It will be much clearer on ships that focus on mid-short range AA (i.e. US ships) when those shoot.

Try to make note of your AA ranges (hover your cursor on your ship's health, and you should find them)

AA works with DPS bubbles which 'pulse' out their damage. The tracer fire you see / hear is just an animation and independent of the way AA works.
