So, as some of you may have heard, WoT Blitz and Warhammer 40k are doing a Collaboration as a Halloween Event where players get to drive what appear to be either a Predator Tank or a Vindicator Assault Gun in a special map set in Macragge.

I, personally, think that this is cool-as-hell except for the fact that it's going to probably be based entirely on Micro-transactions... like everything else in Blitz.

Perhaps for the next Halloween Event we could get something similar from Warhammer 40k: a Eye-of-Terror-Campaign-based Operation set in the Cadia Sector. These ships are event ships and are removed once the event ends.

Players have the choice of playing as one of three factions/races, each fighting against the 13th Black Crusade as they reenact the events of the Eye of Terror Campaign:

Factions:

Imperial Navy (Battlefleet Cadia): Mankind's first line, last, and only of defense against the encroaching Chaos hordes, the Imperial Navy serves to protect the Cadian Gate against the forces of the Despoiler by intercepting incoming Chaos vessels, fighting for control of the orbit of the Planet of Cadia, and providing orbital fire support to Cadian Ground Forces.

Their primary ship in this Operation is the Gothic-Class Cruiser, known for having numerous lance batteries and torpedoes. While too fragile for the 1v1, Gothic Cruisers are powerful in a supporting role and when supported by other vessels. Like most Imperium Vessels, Gothic cruisers have most of their armor at the front and sides and feature forward-firing torpedoes within a decently-sized arc, as well as heavy Lance batteries on the sides. Their engines are exposed, however, making them vulnerable to attacks from the rear.

  -Ship type (WoWS): Cruiser

 -Weapons:

-Lance Batteries (broadside weapons): stats TBD

       -Torpedoes (forward-firing): stats TBD

  -Armor

     -Front: Heavy, angled

     -Sides: Medium, unangled

     -Rear: Light, unangled

  -Consumables:

      -Damage Control Party

-Lightning Strike: Utilizing the ship's Teleportariums, a force of Guard and Assassins is teleported to target Chaos vessel within range, diminishing its speed by 20% and causing 2 random incapacitations. Cooldown: 360s

The other Imperium ship available for a player to command is the Mars-class Battlecruiser. The Mars battlecruiser provides heavy, long-ranged support with its launch bays and powerful Nova Cannon, in addition to having a respectable secondary armament of Lances and Macro-batteries. Though in trials these ships are just as fast as their Gothic counterparts, in battle it has been observed that the Mars must often travel at a slower speed to facilitate its launch bay operations.

 -Ship type (WoWS): Aircraft Carrier

 - Weapons:

-Launch bay 2x: capable of supporting 3 squads each (Fighter or Bomber [Functions as Torpedo Bomber])

       -Macro-Batteries: Secondary Armament

       -Lance Batteries: Secondary Armament

       -Nova Cannon: [See Consumables]

 -Armor:

      -Front: Heavy, angled

-Sides: Medium, unangled (the Launch Bays are weakspots)

      -Rear: Light, unangled

  -Consumables:

       -Damage Control Party

-Nova Cannon: The Nova Cannon is a massive weapon that shoots a giant plasma bomb at incredibly long range. The Nova Cannon is a bulky, inaccurate weapon, so it plots its attack on a larger version of a Dive Bomber attack template, then deals a large amount of damage within a medium radius within that template. 3 charges, 360s cooldown between charges

Space Marines (Dark Angels Chapter): The Space Marines serve to support the Imperial Guard in its defense of Cadia against the Traitor legions. They function in a similar capacity to the Imperial Navy, but are primarily focused on delivering drop-pods full of Space Marines to support the beleaguered Cadian Ground Forces rather than the destruction of large Chaos vessels (though they do both).

The ship that the Dark Angels bring to the fight is the Battlebarge, a super-heavy support ship designed to take massive amounts of punishment and push aside whatever lies between them and their objective, usually a planet. The Battlebarge is heavily armored on all sides and is armed with large Bombardment Cannons capable of tearing huge holes in enemy ships.

 -Ship Type (WoWS): Battleship

 -Weapons:

   -Bombardment Cannons 4x1: stats TBD

   -Macrocannon Batteries: Stats TBD

 -Armor:

    -Front: Heavy

    -Sides: Heavy

    -Rear: Medium

 -Consumables:

    -Damage Repair Party

    -Damage Control Party

Eldar (Ultwé Strike Force): Not to be neglected in all this, the Eldar of Ultwhé are also caught directly in the path of Abbadon's 13th crusade, and find themselves fighting alongside the Imperium of Man to repel the Chaos marauders. While the Eldar aren't devoted to the protection of Cadia for the same reason the Imperium is, and the IoM and the Eldar often find themselves at each other's throats, the end result is that they fight a (begrudged) alliance with the Space Marines and Imperial Navy to stem the Chaos tide.

The Eldar's ship in this event is the Shadow Cruiser, featuring high speed and powerful (prow-launched, wide-arc) torpedoes, but weak armor. The Shadow Cruiser favors hit-and-run attacks, as well as flanking maneuvers on enemy vessels.

 -Ship Type (WoWS): Destroyer

 -Weapons:

    -Starcannons: Stats TBD

    -Vorpal Torpedoes: Stats TBD

 -Armor:

  -Front: Light, Angled

  -Sides: Light, unangled

  -Rear: Light, unangled

 -Consumables:

    -Speed Boost

-Holofield Boost: An Eldar Vessel can boost its holofield for a short period, essentially making the ship disappear, blending-in with the background of space. This reduces the ship's bloom duration when firing its main weapon to 2 seconds for a 35 second period

Non-Player Vessels:

Chaos: The Forces of Chaos seek to break-out of the Eye of Terror, united behind the leadership of the greatest Champion of Chaos the galaxy has seen since the Horus Heresy: Abaddon the Despoiler. His forces are legions upon legions, and he possesses both a Planet-Killer battleship and two system-destroying Blackstone Fortresses in addition to his massive star fleet. The forces you will face will be numerous and different, each ship adapted to doing it's particular role. Your forces will have to be varied and adaptable to each changing threat.

Warships: Chaos warships are pretty in-the-middle. They are faster than their Loyalist counterparts but not as heavily armored, yet they are more armored and less fast than Eldar ships. Their armor is moderate, their weapons are mostly lance-based, which means that they fire quickly, accurately, and penetrate enemy armor with a reasonable degree, but they lack the huge punch of the Macrocannon or Bombardment Cannons.

Idolator Raiders: The Idolator Raider is a small ship (WoWS equivalent: Schnellboot) armed with lances and missiles and that typically sail in packs (missiles function like torpedoes). These ships do not pose a large threat on their own, but if left un-dealt with, more packs will spawn which can overrun player positions and deal irreparable damage to objectives.

 -Weapons:

   -Missile Pods 6x: Stats TBD

   -Lance 1x: Stats TBD

 -Armor: Practically non-existent

 -Consumables:

   -Speed Boost

 -Squad Size: 6

Slaughter Cruisers: The Slaughter Cruiser is a Chaos ship (WoWS equivalent: Destroyer) armed with a heavier Macro-Turret, a missile turret, and twin-linked batteries. It has high burst damage with the Macro-Turret and its missile turret (the batteries are a little anemic), but its true strength is its speed: it can cover large amounts of distance and can threaten objectives from across the map. Two or three of these can be the difference between a 5-star and a 4-star victory, or even victory and total defeat, if they are not managed well.

 -Weapons:

  -Macro-Turret 1x: Stats TBD

  -Batteries 4x2: Stats TBD

-Missile Pod Turret 1x2: Stats TBD

 -Armor:

   -Front: Light

   -Sides: Light

   -Rear: Light

 -Consumables:

    -Damage Control Party

    -Speed Boost

 -Squad Size: 2

Chaos Strike Cruiser: The Chaos Strike Cruiser is an armored cruiser that fields a Bombardment cannon and always spawns with 4 Thunderhawk Gunships alongside it (Gunships act as Dive Bombers). The Strike Cruiser can take a solid amount of punishment before going down, and, if players don't watch their angles against its Bombardment cannon, they can dish-out a copious amount of punishment as well. A solid threat to both Players and Objectives.

 -Ship type (WoWS): Heavy Cruiser

  -Weapons:

    -Bombardment Cannon 1x: Stats TBD

-Weapon Batteries: Secondary Armament, Stats TBD

 -Armor:

    -Front: Heavy

    -Sides: Medium

    -Rear: Medium

 -Consumables:

    -Damage Control Party

 -Squad size: 1

Styx-Class Heavy Cruiser: The Styx Class Heavy Cruiser is a rarer enemy, encountered at the start of the Operation in the form of the cruiser Darkblood (Special, see below), and occasionally throughout the event. The Styx functions in a similar role to the Mars Heavy Cruiser, namely, as an Attack-craft Carrier, and usually prioritizes player/player-aligned AI vessels over Objectives.

More Chaos Vessels TBD

Miscellaneous: TBD (IoM/Eldar Survivors, reinforcements,...)

Operation Tasks:

Main Tasks

-Escort the Cobra Class Destroyers to relay range after they have destroyed Darkblood

-Survive until Battlefleet Agrippina arrives

-(temporary respite to allow players to heal at space stations)

-Do Not Allow Cadia to Fall

-Repel the Planet-Killer

-Suppress the Blackstone Fortress

-Flee to the Webway (Upon completion of this task and those preceeding, the players Win)

Secondary Tasks:

-Protect the Cobra Class Destroyers as they flee (An Imperial vessel must remain nearby as they warp out, none must die): +1 Star, Allows for an additional Emperor class battleship to spawn during the Cadia objective period

-Destroy 10 ships before Battlefleet Agrippina Arrives: +1 star, Allows for an additional Mars Class Heavy Cruiser to spawn during the Cadia Objective

-Locate and Activate the Webway Gate (An Eldar ship is Required): +1 Star, Halves the time it takes to Flee to the Webway, the Blackstone Fortress spawns at half-health

-Lightning-Strike the Planet Killer Before it Fires on Macharia (A Gothic Cruiser is Required): Immediately destroys the Planet Killer when it fires.

-Deliver drop-pods to the specified locations on Cadia (A Battlebarge is Required and must follow certain waypoints within a time limit): +1 Star, increases Cadia's health by 30% upon completion

That's the kind of thing I really would like to see out of a collaboration.  For example, take the ARP collab.  I would have been cool if they had missions like our operations where you fight the ARP ships, and maybe throw in a community event like the corgi fleet where ST, CC, etc drive an ARP fleet, say T7 with Nagatos, Myokos, and Shiratsuyus.

I object if I can't play my favourite Slaughter-class cruiser.

You need to include Styx and maybe Mars classes as CVS

Bfg is 2d in space so game mechanics still work
