Your choice on how to spend your money, and time...

That being said, skipping the low tiers and not bothering to learn about the game has put you in this position.

No one can help you, if you can't be bothered to learn the game mechanics, which really should be done in lower tiers...

I did learn the game mechanics as I said I am a yamato player. And why even comment because this is no help

....You think because you paid your way into a Yamato, this somehow means you learned the game? :Smile_facepalm:

I made myself clear, no one else can help you, if you want to jump to the top, instead of learning something along the way...

Good luck though...

Well you could always do the historical WWII Approach and have Missouri be an AA ship to escort allied fleet. :Smile_Default:

You will need Basic Fire Training, Advanced Fire Training, and maybe Manual AA Captain skills. The Manual AA skill is optional though.

You will also need AA Equipment on your ship.

Missouri carries good AA guns so making it an AA specialized ship is definately an option for you and with the Graf Zepplin arriving and in testing halving good AA on your ship is a good idea.

run it like battle cruiser.  heavily angled,    use cover to turn away,  stay mid range and shoot.    stay with the team and support them.      you are not yamato, so being agile and moving is not a bad thing.     have a good situation awareness and abuse the radar.  it works.

You'll need at least the NC to get a complete idea of the Mo. Being at tier 5 USN BB doesn't help you much but it's the same principle as Yamato:
- angling
- sit. awareness

Just remember that you don't have the secondary power and lol overmatch, but you do have the AA and radar.

And watch your speed - the Mo can get you into trouble pretty quickly.  Leading the charge is not a very good idea, neither is being alone.  If anyone gets to your broadside, you will have issues.  Bow on, she is pretty strong and a bit of an angle makes her front bulkhead even stronger.  And, watch as many decent videos as you can.  Remember that you can't really one shot ships like you can with the Yammy.  And, watch videos from different style players to get ideas.

This is the epic way to sink Hitler's bath boat.

The last ship on the enemy team was the Bismarck and he decided to go out in the last great act of defiance. We both went to ramming speed and boom. I had the speed and maneuverability to avoid him but where is the fun in that?

Looks like reading comprehension is still an uncommon skill.

Have you ever played Cruisers, or BBs like Scharnhorst or Gneisenau? Missouri reminds me a lot of those right down to needing Concealment Mod and Concealment Captain skill. But unlike Cruisers you will be sticking with AP only onnMisdouri since it performs the best and even kills DDs.

The best way I can describe Iowa(basically MIssy) is to play the middle. German BBs are typically a little closer, IJN a little further like Yamato, USN plays in the middle. Aswell, while she can absolutely bow-tank, I don't recommend. You have so much superstructure that the cruisers will start farming you for HE damage and fires, and you're often forced to just reverse away because in all likelyhood, there are battleships just waiting for you to turn. This is why I instead recommend stealth build and keep moving. No matter how slow. Be mobile.

Don't just watch this one, watch all of his Missouri videos. Remember that he's unicum and very aggressive so you would have to back off a bit more than him, but do retain the playstyle.

Hey

That's a good point. Played a game this past weekend with the GZ and I was in my Bismarck which is equipped with BFT, AFT and dual fighters.  First pass hurt me and I shot down 9 aircraft, second pass later in the game, I got 2 more aircraft of his but he sank with a dive bomber strike, and 2 sets of torpedo planes.  I was surprised how effective he was at getting to me since usually I don't worry that much about CV's.  The American BB's tend to have better AA than Germans but still, at least buff the AA with BFT and AFT.  I don't do the manual AA as I have to remember to select the squadron  and when under fire can be a bit much.  I picked up Missouri last night and will do a full stealth build on it.

Hey

I hope it turns out to be a good decision since I used about 14K of doubloons to get the XP needed to make up the difference over what I had.  I could have used the 750K to get 3 maybe 4 ships for what it cost to get MO, including my T10 GK.

Guess you have trouble understanding the finer points. He has player the IJN line all the way to the T10, so he has taken the time. Perhaps you should take remedial course on how not to be a troll in forums.
