Detonations still need to be BIGGER

Unlike some others on the forum, I actually think the 6.10 release new graphics for explosions and gunfire are an improvement.

But Detonations still need to be much bigger.  Make it an event so that it actually becomes a "fun and engaging" moment for all players.  Make it a much bigger mushroom cloud than a devastating strike or other ship kills. A detonation should be visible to everyone on the map for a minute or two.  Ships should be able to hide behind it like a DD's smoke cloud.

See real life example below for an idea of the scale...

I forget what detonation I was reading an action report on, but a ship 4 miles away was covered in debris, which flew as far as 15 miles

How about giving some of us the ability to turn off the effects?  I have come to accept being blow to the next digital life at any moment, I just want to go with out the nerve damaging headache.

I like the new graphics in general too. A little exaggerated when a ship sinks by gun/torps. But nice in general.

 

I want to see dets from across the maps!!

I want to see ships blown in half and turrets/superstructure flying through the air. If you're gonna engage us in the most fun way, at least make it cool.
