How to Carrier???

I've been working on the back to Basics missions, and I'm now on the CV one.  Problem is: I have no CV's and have never played one.   I did research Langley a long time ago, just need to buy it.

My question regards the actual use of the interface itself:

How the heck do you use the controls/fly planes/attack stuff, etc?

I know WASD does the same thing as on every ship, and M is autopilot, so you can chart a course for your ship to sail while you attend to your squadrons, but that's about it.

I'm ready to try something new.   I intend to stick strictly to co-op, so no need to roll your eyes, or spam nasty hateful posts because you hate CV's and one touched you in your naughty zone once, and I won't be "ruining the game" for everyone with my (almost guaranteed to be) terrible play, lol.

I just want to avoid entering a match having no clue how to even work my ship, lol.  (and I don't know how to access the training room)

Thanks in advance for the helpful replies!

p.s. I thought I remembered a tutorial somewhere, but I'll be darned if I can find it...

This guy is one of the top CV players. After looking through all of these that Ive posted, I would prolly start with him. He has the newer reviews/guide vids.

The second link in Wulfgarn's post is for Farazelleth. His Carrier Guide is truly top-notch and is a must watch. Also, if you get into CV play, watch some of his other videos, including going up against Femennenly, another of the game's top CV captains.

Here's the intro video:
