I actually think the first two seasons were the best, both in terms of story and animation. It's not that the animation isn't better quality now, but I like the more cartoony/graphic style of the first couple seasons. Also their costumes for the first season were the best too. Well, I wasn't trying to say or imply that the first two seasons were bad. The story has been intriguing since the beginning, what I meant by 'mostly' was that the fighting also hooked people at the beginning and kept people coming back even if the story was lacking here or there. Admittedly, the animation was rough in the beginning. Again, that's not saying it was bad, but compared to where the show is now to where it started animation wise I think it's fair to say that it was rough at start. On a side note, I much prefer their first alternate outfits. Weiss' Snowpea outfit, Yang's Hunter outfit, Blake's Infiltrator outfit, ect.
