Average damage wise I'm good but I'm way below server average on WR and WTR.

My list of struggles..

1, Cruisers are beating me to death.

2, Can't find any angle that helps BB vs. BB

3, I can start fires, but don't seem to be able to do enough alpha damage to kill something and move to the next target. Should I be focusing with AP more even though the damage is unreliable?

4, MM is killing me. I see more t9 battles than same tier.

Would be nice to know which ships.

T7 is pretty good.

Akatsuki and Shiratsuyu are both good and can survive uptiering.

Nagato is not bad at all.

The tier has excellent ships like Fiji, and let's not forget some powerhouses as Blyskawica, Shiny Horse, and dare I say Belfast?

Nelson, Hood? My favorite: Sims.

I even like my Atlanta and Indianapolis even though they are tougher to do well in. Pepsi has been buffed and works decently well too.

Shoot HE at angled targets and always AP at broadside CA's and BB's...

Look for opportunities to shoot at targets that are showing their side to you.

Don't overextend. A lone BB is a prime target.

Never repair a single fire on your BB. You can get most of that HP back using repair party. Wait until you have two fires before you use your repair party consumable.

Use repair party 2 and damage control 2 consumables. The delay countdown is significantly shorter...

What ships are you playing? Hard to give advice because many ships play differently....

T7 with MM is a tough one if your a 7 getting matched with 9s, I find if I go it alone many times I'll get focused fired on

so buddy up with a ship or two and support each other, this works for me in BBs

with KGV you just have to be patient and stick to the fleet - low concealment, meh armor and average speed means you depend on spotting by other ships a lot. your HE rocks (I highly despised by choice WG made to make RN BB HE spammers, but this is what it is) so you should be able to do very good vs uptiered BB - burning big T9 ships is just as easy

Well, i thought since i posted in the RN BB forum it might be obvious. My bad.

Talking in reference to the KGV and Nelson specifically. Would like to hear from others who play them

This is a good start. Thank you.

OP, you own Scharnhorst.  Except for the lack of torps on KGV, you play her exactly the same as if you were relying on your main battery.  KGV's protection is similar to a German BB.  Extremely hard to citadel but if you show sides, you will eat mega pens.  German BBs are also prone to HE spam, and KGV is the same.  KGV is tough like Scharnhorst but let yourself be focus fired, you will go down.

Against other BBs, I keep my distance, close enough where my shots are accurate, long enough where I'm out of German BB secondaries range or easy to hit with their main battery.  Angle, angle, angle, you'll avoid the worst of BB gunfire.  Like Scharnhorst, use your speed, mobility to dictate the fight.
