AA mod2, the dispersion is not bad, so you have extra AA bubble.

The dispersion is already very good, so the gain of the aiming system mod 1 is little. However the AA mod will give some good range on your AA which can help you in many cases.

The AA mod is a great choice as is guns benefit little from the aim mod. 

 

I admit i built my captain different from others though. 

 

Incoming fire

Adren rush 

SI

CE

 

Then adding on Rdf, EM and Vigilance for the 19 points.  Aft is tempting but to many bands it can be fund the DD so radar positioning is handy tracking them down. 

I prefer incoming fire as i presume i am targeted when i fire from no concealment. Adren rush as well increase the rate of fire

I think the pretty much "everyone should do this" build for a Fiji is:

1. PT -> AR -> SI -> CE -> SE for a 14 point captain, then it's kinda up to you.

2. MAM1, MAB2 or AA2 (depending on if you really feel like spending 2 captain points on EM or not), SGM2.  Slot 3 is kinda up in the air, and there's no real standout there.

You really want either MAB2 or EM; having both doesn't make an appreciable difference (22 vs 20 second turret rotation).

Personally, I'm going to run MAB2 up until I get a 16 point captain, where I'll buy EM and replace MAB2 with AA2.

I'm going to go against the flow and say I like having both the commander and module turret-traverse bonuses on this ship.

 

Why?

 

To survive, you need to keep dodging.

 

With both bonuses, your turrets track fast enough to compensate for full helm at full speed - meaning you can shoot while you dance.

AA Mod on almost all cruisers because they are accurate enough. 

1 Priority Target

2 Smoke Screen Expert (more room to maneuver in smoke)

3 Superintendent (more smoke & hydro & heal)

4 Concealment Expert

2 Adreneline Rush (become more lethal as HP drops - smoke allows you to stay effective even on fumes)

3 Vigilance (because red torps are not your friends)

4 AFT (red planes will hate you - especially when you're smoked up)

<just hit 200 battles in Fiji with somewhat better than average results>

I always go Preventative Maintenance > Expert Marksman > Superintendent > Concealment Expert for the first 10 skill points

 

I find Priority Target the most stupid pointless waste of 1 skill point you could possibly take for any ship during your first 10 skill points, short of taking CV skills for DD/CL/CA/BB captains.
