Do you still buy Alabama after having Missouri and North Cal?

Alabama turns way better than NC and is shorter, less of a target. I won't play NC again without being paid for it, but I really enjoy 'Bama.

Unsurpisingly im with Lert on this one.  If you get the Bama no need for NC.  Bama is a fantastic ship I love mine and I have MO as well, fun to have for diff lvl divisions.

That seems to be the theme with USN BBs the prems are all better than the tech tree ships.

They keep selling improved versions of the main line ship. Alabama and North Carolina are similar enough that I still enjoy both though.

Still waiting for a 1945 fit West Virginia...

...but yes, I did buy the Alabama even after having had the North Carolina (which I never played much) and unlocking Missouri (which is awesome).

Umm- YES!  Because more good BB's is better than fewer good BB's.

 Plus what Lert said.

If you like US BB's, and you like midrangey, brawly BB's- you'll most likely like this one.  With an AA spec ship/captain it's absolutely hillarious how much damage you can do to a CV's inventory.  Especially if he's dumb/stubborn enough to keep trying you.  And if you do eat a torpedo or two, the torpedo protection is great.

I would rather they sell a Fletcher variant...

I am actually fine with a premium Fletcher twin, just like Prinz Eugen to Hipper.

Makes you wonder if they have a improved Colorado in development. Make it so you dont have to play any of the tech tree ships at all just shell out for the best.

After I got the Mighty Mo, the chances of me buying the Alabama became negligible. The ships, at least from the reviews, just have too much overlap to justify spending that much money on the pair of them. The NC should be a non-factor in the equation, though.

I have both.

Alabama is more fun.

I regret purchasing a couple of ships, Alabama is not one of them.

Alabama is just way superior than North Carolina.  I mean, even shots to the side that would get you multi-citadeled in North Carolina, you'll likely be just fine in Alabama.  Then there's the shorter ship, AMAZING turn rate.  She can maneuver very well, even in tight spaces, and she can torpedobeat like no other BB can.  Her turn ability with that short hull really makes this easy.  Even if a torp hits, you have Yamato-level TDS.  That turn ability allows her to unmask her 3rd turret and mask it quickly to protect your sides.

The best way I can describe her turn ability is how well the USN Standard BBs of Tier VII and below turn, then throw in North Carolina's 27kt speed.  That's how great she is.  Tier VIII+, USN BBs are actually sluggish in the turn compared to the Tier VII and below ones.

If you know how to milk your NC for all its worth, Alabama is a big improvement.

Now, do you get 'Bama after having MO and NC?  I did.  Alabama and Missouri play very differently from each other.  Alabama is just straight superior than NC to the point I no longer touch my NC, who prior was one of my most played ships.

I have Bama and Mo.  Not interested in Montana, so I can't find a worthy reason to grind my NC.

Got a chance to try out Alabama on my Corgi Captain account.

It's out of price range I'll spend on a ship for this game, but if it were cheaper I'd buy it easily. Great ship.

And I own both Missouri and North Carolina already.

There seems to be a theme with Russian ships and how they are better than their counterparts from other nations.

Now now we haven't seen how the Russians BB lines will behave yet with the exception of the OPlai

Same. Sold NC after I bought Bama several months ago.

Still play both NC and AL. Main differences beyond the shorter hull is NC has better dispersion and more mid range AA dps (some mid shifted to close range on the AL).
