Well, in football anything can happen since the ball has such a weird shape. If you want a more reliable and predictable sport you need a more reliable and predictable shape - like a circle or a square. That, and, let's be honest, it's not exactly a sport that attracts the best and the brightest so anything can happen. An enormous lead can be squandered by trivial errors. Even more, trivial errors that are repeated out of a lack of awareness.

Since I've been back, I read up on the Brit BBs. As I understand it, they have the turtle back for up close brawling, but at longer ranges, the shells can pen the deck rather than the side and the deck armor is thin. So plunging fire is supposed to work well on them I believe.

Yeah, that's why AP bombs work well on them also.  As for the OP, 11km is way too close for plunging fire in this game, but I am not surprised that Myoko can cit a BB two tiers lower at that range.
