A Statue of Captain? But where's Fishy?

I was in the Shards map and saw this statue of Cap. Sorry, too busy torping to take a screenshot from the side, but it is still obviously him. Or is it?

That has to be new. I went over that map several times with spectator and never saw it. 

We have a Lion head on Fault Line, a female face on Ring and now this. The map devs are having fun.

Good find.

 

Now we just need someone to sink on this map and get close with the spectator cam. Than report back with close up pics.

People have been noticing all kinds of weird map details lately.

 

Another thread had a screencap of a crashed UFO.

Three options: hiding somewhere on that map, hiding on a different map or hasn't been added yet. 

 

Fun fact some of the small islands in the north east of that map have whale skeletons on the beach.

I wish I could show you them. But when my laptop died at the hands of its hard drive they were lost. I have't been in game for almost 4 weeks. But the whale bones are there on Shard, just look for fishing villages on small islands. Only seen them on the eastern half of the map.

Also the halloween portal. I forgot the map name, but it's green and the A cap has a chokepoint to its right, where B is. The portal is to the right of the C cap if you spawn on the bottom.

My only solace is I'm not facing British BB apocalypse that is going on in randoms. I still have the mental trauma from the German BB release.

Argg those were dark days, first new Battleship line enter the game and every captain and their scurvy dog was playing them. There were BBs as far as the eye could see. From Tier 3 to 6 it was nothing by German Battle wagons in the cue and on the high seas. Tier 7 you had two german BBs, a premium and tech tree model, fighting for dominance. And it was much the same at Tier 8 where Tirpitzs where doing battle with Bismarcks. Thankfully not many had made it into T9+ but there were some causing havoc. 

It got so bad that one night my poor Kami R had to sink 6 german BBs doing a total of 137k in damage just to secure the win. 

I think it took 4 weeks for the player base to settle down and spread out. But those first 3 weeks were crazy.

I can only image how bad it is with the most anticipated BB line, the British, finally available. I think those three Brit BB missions were WG's way of trying to spread out the madness. But I have no clue if it helped.

My only advice for captains facing this on slot is to abandon all hope and pick a ship with a good fire chance or one that packs Torps.

Not so many RN BBs right now actually as compared to your descriptions of german battle wagons.
