The new Pan-Asia destroyers

Was looking for some stats at na.wows-numbers.com and saw the new ships added.

So Im not saying wargaming has been lazy with this line, but they've been pretty lazy making this line. Hell I would have rather had paper ships than a bunch of clones.

I'd rather they have a bunch of clones with gimmicks to make them unique while dedicating more time to the French and Italian lines. Or heck, even the Russian BBs that they probably have mostly completed; just needs game integration.

Well, there's not much besides clones to be had for Pan Asian stuff.  I'm sure they realize that this line won't be terribly popular on the EU, RU and NA servers.

Well, aren't most real Pan-Asian ships just clones of other countries ships? I mean, most of their ships are either former USN or Russian ships, or home built off blueprints from those countries (at least in the era in game).

The t8 9, and 10 might seem like usn clones but t8 is a gleaves class not benson. And 10 is a sumner not gearing. They are almost the same ships but are different. The t9 is a 50s era Fletcher though.

Only a couple of them are clones(like the tier 9 Korean Fletcher,) all of the others are new ships.

Different funnels shapes between Gleaves and Benson is pretty minor. Gameplay wise, it's the same ship.

The T4 is a HSF Mutsuki with USN guns.

The T6 is the 4th Gnevny class in the game (WG does like that class!)

Well in all reality the Asian theater didn't make their own ships.  Either bought them from the US/NATO or Russia, it wasn't until the 60's that China started making their own ships if I remember correctly, but I could be wrong.  But as for ships from the 30s-50's they were all built and used by another nation before being sold to either Korea or China

Yup. Exactly. Many of the notable ships were purchased or taken from other nations post-WW2, either as spoils of war or surplus. It's not fair to call them a clone when historically they were indeed from the same class as ships we already have. We're going to get a very famous "clone" DD premium too if I heard correctly...

I mean UK DDs would've been better. If you already have US DDs and IJN DDs then great, because that's what these ships are.

I was originally planning to grind them up to the Gadjah Madah but the concealment of the Hsiangyang has peaked my interest.

...and Phra Ruang (the very first ship of Royal Thai Navy and the first to receive the HTMS designation) will be commanded by Chinese commander...Pan-Asian? Only Pan-Asian in ships and not commander I bet.

This line of DD's is pandering to Nationalistic Consumption to say the least.  Hey..whatever..its what floats your boat they say..

It would be interesting what the small 'tweaks' will be when they become available.

Kidd was one of the later Fletchers that had one of its quintuple torpedo launchers removed in exchange for additional AA, right?  If they do that in-game they're going to have to give it something amazing in exchange if it's going to be competitive...
