I have heard that now it is mandatory to download the program from various threads over on the wot forum. I will explain why I hope this isn't the case back a few months ago I had installed the launcher and i had high ping spikes in the 500's on both wow and wot and I was shocked since normally I got 50ms on wow and 90 on wot pc. I also has my internet crash everytime this trojan like program was running. I am looking for a way to get a separate launcher for wow without the dam wgc if it is indeed mandatory now. If it is true then it is truly shocking to see a compnay log this piece of trojan on it's users without fully running tests I run on an i7 and windows 10 a $1,000 dollar pc not a $100 pc so it is mysterious when you get lag spikes shortly having installed the wgc. Does anyone know an internet acrhive that would have the separate client for wow? I did run the darn program for a month so I think I know what I am talking about. other games ran smoothly on the same day when the wgc wasn't turned on so I know it wasn't my isp. People have been posting regularly about it, even in the last few days. There is even a thread somewhere that helps people grab the old launcher for install...but not sure if that's still applicable. No reason to use WGC till there is a patch then you can go back to directly using the exe. WGC WILL be required after some period of time to at least get it installed.
