Because of your blatant incompetence and sheer laziness you stuck a t7 battleship at t8 with bigger guns and changed absolutely nothing else other than the layout. 

No extra range. No extra HP. No difference in AA...just a KGV with bigger guns that gets to go up against t10 CVs and battleships.

Mongrel is a joke, she's a KGV hull copy and pasted with paper 15 inch guns, Nelsons turrets,lolmurica AA weaponry and post war cage mast.

 

She was a slapped together mess once WG figured out they can drop KGV to Tier 7 and milk the community for Nelson.

The discussion was that KGV was a Tier VIII ship with Tier VI guns.  She is, if anything, over-armored for Tier VII.   Monarch fits in Tier VIII quite well, especially with that RN Cruiser heal to balance out her low-ish hit points.  But sure, if you expect it to fit into that round hole you've got prepared for her in your mind, it won't fit.  So don't play it.

Monarch is KGV as originally designed. KGV was originally supposed to be armed with 15" guns, but the WNT prevented that due to the weight and the had to go with the 14" guns instead.

the Monarch has better armour than the KGV and has bigger guns with the same reload it has better AA is already fast and pretty stealthy for a BB it is a upgrade to the KGV in almost every thing

Sure, the guns are a bit crap, but you have better concealment than, pretty much, all the cruisers in your range.

That's not quite right. It's more like Monarch is KGV's unborn half-sister, implemented in-game without a lot of the features she should have (different secondaries, hull length, powerplant).

Honestly, I would say monarch is one of the balanced british BB's.\, and isnt freakishly OP the way Conqueror, Lion, or Orion are.

RN crusier heal is only on Lion and Conqueror. Monarch doesn't get it. She just gets normal BB heals.

The secondaries are the same, the powerplant is almost the same. Hull design and length etc, of course are different.

Timing on 15-C suggests different secondaries, plus in-game 'Monarch' has an exact copy/paste of KGV's hull.

So she's pretending to be something she's not.

Just like the Izumo, in the IJN BB line, the Monarch is the one RN BB I didn't keep.

I am only missing 2 bb's from tier 6 to 10. Those are the 2!!!!

I was going to skip to monarch because KGV is so awful. But now I see I will have to save the free XP to get past the Monarch. Except do I really want to add more OP HE spamming BBs to the high tier MM pool? 

HE spamming BBs are an affront to gods and men.

 

What a sad waste. All that dev time invested to produce ships that have severely degraded the meta, and which are distorted shapes of actual battleships. Lower the fire chance, give them real AP and not gimped crap AP, and recolonize. Everything will be much improved.

Once I grind to Lion I plan on selling the Monarch and I don't usually sell higher tier BBs.

 

I can accept the probability that the that the secondary armament, powerplant, and hull length would have changed during the design process to match that of the actual KGV class but the post-war style lattice masts are hideously wrong, and the turret design is also wrong.
