The Mogami can reach a pretty insane rudder shift, something like 4 seconds. It desn't have the amour to run around, but you can rack up some insane potential damage before getiing lolpenned.

I got invited to CBT 3 years ago and that's when I made the forum account.  I made a post regarding my feelings about working premium shops when a game is in a state of flux.  It received the usual response about whining and qqing and after having a very bad day I referred to people on the forums as richard craniums and got a stern talking to and have had negative rep since.

Mogami does pretty well in most matches, just need to be careful about where, when one who you are shooting.

The big problem with Mogami (and any tier 8 cruiser, honestly) is matches with 5+ battleships. The second you're spotted, every single one of them knows they overmatch all of your armor (Even Mogami's belt is overmatched by 16 inch guns) and targets you until you disappear or die.

Truth. As a BB player, I always target cruisers first, baring a very dangerous close up opponent. Easy citadels!

All tier 8 cruisers without any defensive ability (smoke or heal) suffers greatly when uptiered. Mogami, Hipper/Eugen, New Orleans, Chapayev ... they all get nuked with ease.

10k torps, detection down to 9.3

She is also one of the best CA to try and cap if your DD's are gone or engaged.

Probably with CE, then. My Mogami doesn't have that yet. But Atago doesn't require CE to torpedo from stealth (I shift the same commander between the two for faster training, I just don't play cruisers often, hence why it's slow)

Yeah. Also a DPM monster with the 155's and IFHE. Great velocity and rate of fire, so this thing is a great DD killer regardless of tier.

In fact now that I think about it Mogami might be one of the ships I worry the least about when up tiered. You hardly need to change playstyles at all like you do in other ships.
