At least not until you feel confident with manual drops as they are far less forgiving at the lower tiers. Bogue and Independence have a lot less aircraft then their IJN counterparts for little to no advantages. By all means don't let it stop you, just note that you will be at a fairly objective disadvantage across the board when fighting a IJN carrier of the same tier until you hit tier 7, then it gets a bit more complicated. Love those hellcats! Tier for tier, I think I have enjoyed the Langley most- you can actually compete damage wise compared to the Hosho and still have strong fighters.
