Which ships are the ones to aim for?  Any good ships from T6-8?

Despite what the CCs say, the KGV is a dang fine boat. If you play her like a Scharnhorst with slightly worse secondaries and no torpedoes, stay mobile and hunt for the upper belt, you'll do fine. 
Monarch as far as I can tell is a great ship to play, a good progression to Lion.
