When the update is downloaded and the unpacking begins there is a status screen that loads with text and a percentage bar. The text is only in Russian, so I have no idea what it says.. :D Download was smooth and so far installation is smooth, but you were correct in that the download was much faster and the install is much longer... good trade off though. cheers! Yup, I got the notification as usual that the PTS wanted to update (just like the live client), clicked OK, and away it went. I wonder if this is a common factor? No, it was not on the D partition, my hard drive doesn't have a D partition. The error got fixed in some way after a 12 hr. stop and then a restart of the installation which instead of picking up at the same point started over.
