No doubt discussed countless times but I feel like the community needs to pile on here and make this happen. Up-vote this thread if you agree

Suggestions for improvement: REMOVE DETONATIONS! nothing 'fair and balanced' about them. If anything they throw the game off balance by giving a team a ship advantage through sheer dumb luck.

I think we need a counter for detonation threads just like the sub thread counter.  Anyway, to the point:

Detonations are going to stay in the game no matter what you do.  If you don't like them, go grab the anti det flag.  Don't have any?  Get some from crates.  Unlucky with grates?  Stop using det flags on all of your ships and only use them on high tier ships.  Detonations rarely ever happen to anything that isn't a DD anyway (and they are pretty rare regardless).

The only time I've been detonated was when playing anything Japanese, It's the reason I don't touch those ships. (Not the real reason. I just suck with them.)

That's part of the reason why they should be removed. Essentially the devs made it 'riskier' to play dds because they have the highest chance for a detonation ....

"the community needs to pile on here"

You mean like they did here?

Listen buddy, just mount the anti det flag if you hate them that much.  I have one on every high tier vessel I own, and I still have about 200 or so waiting to be used.

Wow. You actually run a very high detonation chance, one of the highest I have ever seen. 1.29%!! Seriously... get over it. Detonations are here to stay, the developers like them, there are ways to mitigate them, and they happen so rarely that it's just not worth getting your panties all twisted up over.

Just wondering if this isn't a plea/attempt to get a better rep .

When a person signs up to serve they accept that bad things, out of their control, may happen to them. Fair never enters the picture.

Detonations are like that. Do not pass go. Do not collect $200. Go directly to jail. You always have a choice. You may choose not to play.

Detonations in that respect, may be the most realistic part of the game. Having a get out of detonation free flag is unrealistic.

We should make a thread about removing those.

Remember, you always have a choice.

Since we are making real life metaphors:

Americans could have just chosen to just accept British rule.

Europeans could have just chosen to accept Hitler's rule.

African Americans could have just chosen to not fight for their civil rights.

Just because something is the status quo doesn't mean people can't fight to change it, especially if they feel it's unjust

Laying down and just accepting the status quo, if it's unjust, just makes you a sheeple.

Want to remove Detonations from your Ships? Just follow these easy steps...

A. Remove all shells from your ships.

B. Remove all Propellant from your ships

C. Remove all Fuel from your ships.

Now Enjoy your Detonation Free ship!!!!

Calling forum members sheeple, this thread can only go downhill from here.

Quite wrong.

The poster that I responded to attempted to deconstruct the OP's post with logic and a real-world metaphor.

I deconstructed that poster's own logic with a real life metaphor as well.

The sheeple comment simply alluded to the willingness of many human beings to "do as they are told" and not think for themselves, especially when change is needed. There are countless things in this world that would never change if no brave soul ever stood up and took a stand, even with the crowd against them.

Take that as you may. I'm not going to sugarcoat it.

This was a thread like any other. I want this 'fun and balanced' feature removed.

No thanks 'buddy'. I've already funded WG with too much money. I spent more money on this game than any other and far too much at that.

By that logic any catastrophic hit to the superstructure should render most ships inoperable or any torpedo hit would require serious downtime and repairs ...

In my mind detonations are nothing more than WG nickel and diming it's player base.

Joke's on you, I've never spent any cash on flags.  I just know how to manage resources.

Now were adding realism to this   Nothing realistic about WOW in any degree as many have said way before and probably after me..its a arcade game with some semblance of reality selectively chosen and thats okay. But almost ALL arcade water down reality to make the game playable and utmost fun.  The DET feature adds nothing to the game but a one time negative experience which removes the fun factor which is the primary purpose of WOW.  As I said before..if it was removed would you miss it?   No one cares if it goes...
