Screen shots in port

I just got my first earned 10-point commander and wanted to take a shot of his box in port to commemorate, but when I try all of the usual Print Screen methods all that shows up in the clipboard is all black.  I haven't tried in-game yet but I've successfully captured after battle reports (a Dunkirk battle I was particularly proud of).  Is there something off about the port screen that inhibits screen capture?

Someone mentioned this not long ago, however I can't remember what was said.

If no one answers I'd search around for it. At least you know youre not the only one.

If you're running the latest version of Windows 10, you can take a screencapture with the keyboard shortcut: Windows Key, Shift, S

Nope.  Still just black in the clipboard, same as the more traditional attempts, including Win/Alt/PrintScrn.

If you just hit print-screen, the screenshot will be in your worldofwarships/screenshots/ folder.

Aha!  There they are; all ten of them.

Thank you, Lert.  I got a 10-pointer with a Santa Crate ship in December but Vasiliy is the first one I've earned.

No, he's talking about clipboard. When you hit print-screen the screenshot is saved as jpg, and goes to the clipboard. If the clipboard is fudged, use the jpg.

I'm sure it has been. All I did was point out a (much more reliable) alternate source for the screenshot he wants. OP is using clipboard, but clipboard sometimes just returns a black screen. This is a bug, but only a minor annoyance as bugs go. In my experience, when clipboard returns a black screen, the /screenshots jpg is still usable.

Yeah, I was saving the screen to clipboard and trying to paste it into Paint.  It worked okay with the after battle screens but in port, like I said, all that pasted into Paint was black.  Using Lert's pointer, I found all of the attempts in the WoWS/Screenshots folder (along with the Dunkirk shots), and as you can tell from my earlier post, successfully trimmed one down.
