You click "Fire" to launch your torpedoes, most likely in a "last stand" sort of way, yet between the millisecond of the "fwoosh" sound (the compressed air launching the torpedoes) and your ship exploding, you suddenly notice the lack of avenging fish in the water, making your final gamble for nothing.

 

Does this happen to anyone else? Also feel free to add your own gripe.

It takes time for torpedoes to launch, they don't fire instantly.. Also you may be doing something wrong if you're launching your torpedoes exactly when you die.

it has happened to me a few times before, if you know you're gotta sink in the next 5 seconds and have torps loaded opt for torps then switch back to your guns after launching your fishes

I'm pretty sure WG patched it a few weeks ago that if you fire before you die, the torps will launch, even if you die mid launch...

Yea - not only torps but the final "and your mother too!!!" salvo from the main battery often gets stuck in the rifles.

Hey, at least on the PvP side you get to pull the trigger.

In most co-op battles, the AI almost always cheats in the above case, shooting out the torp launcher just as you line up - thus NO chance of even a hearing the *whoosh*. 

Yep, don'tcha just love it! (Fun and engaging :Smile_sceptic:)

Not getting a dying sortie of fish isnt really that new to me. I hardly use my fish anyways. As far as adding our own grips, mine would be the random pens from BBs against DDs that causes the DDs HP to be about 7-12k less then the last time they saw it

Then you're suffering lag, it's worked perfectly for me, If I get the shot off before I die, a complete spread goes out.
