Hello!  I found a picture of these parts that were taken from the HMS Wakeful - a destroyer destroyed during Operation Dynamo by an E-boat.  They were found in the Boatswain's Store.  Can anybody help me identify what these parts are and their function on the ship?  Thanks!

The double hook thing on top may be something related to the anchor chain?

Perhaps?

I believe the top one is a boat hook.

Unfortunately I don't know about the bottom one.

I think the lower is a rowlock for an oar

Yes again.

(the winners may pick up their cookies at WoW headquarters, M - F, 8:00 to 5:00; ask for Niko)

PS: I'm surprised no one thought to ask the Mighty Jingles, as he served (or survived) the Royal Navy.

I wish I could ask him...but he's on the EU server.

bgrFINP.jpgwhat they said above: Expensive little things they are:

Double ended Boat hook sells for about 33-40 bucks

Brass oar holders sell for about 50 bucks.

Cool items to have in a nautical themed man cave or ladies lounge.

ouch those oar locks would be a cast iron [edited] to use. What good is an oar lock if you can't get the oar into it and out of it?
