The build is the key IMO,and mine was horrible.Soon to have a dedicated lvl 19 skipper, she will be the bane of the seas. She has replaced the Gremy and the 155 Mogami as my favorite. It could be given a slight hp buff out another charge of smoke and be on par with the T10s. It's an amazing cruiser, fantastic guns and smoke. Kite like crazy then smoke up and spam. I never have RNG like that in Kutu. Kutuzov is an amazing ship. Spam HE in smoke until you have no more smoke, then push up like any other cruiser and beat the crap out of what's left. Don't discount her AP shells either, especially against broadside cruisers-the flat flight trajectory inside of seven km and the high ROF give her the ability to absolutely wreck thin-skinned opponents with large numbers of citadel hits in one go. The best way to play her is, similar to the Atlanta or RN light cruisers, like an oversized Khabarovsk with a citadel, using your smoke to rain shells and your speed + agility to get out of unfavorable situations. With your excellent shell trajectories, you can start reliably landing hits on BB-sized targets from 18km in, cruisers from 15km in, and erase DDs within 10km of you. Deny the enemy, harass them, start fires, knock out modules, and when the numbers start getting low, partner with a heavy on your team and begin cleaning up. I never have RNG like that in Kutu. Same, like 2 fires from 100 hits is my life & stacking? Lol whats that. Many many 5k salvoes?! Like 700 or 1400 is more typical for me.
