Looking for advice for the #4 spot.

I usually go with Damage Control 2 but am open to other ideas.  Thanks.

Do you mean the fifth slot? If so then yea, DC2 seems like the best maybe rudder if you plan on playing very aggressively.. but even then... fire management is important to a BB. (if you did mean slot 4 than DC1 is best)

The popular choice for that slot in BBs is SGM2 for better rudder shift.  It will help NC protect those very soft hull sides.  Now, I do know some people that play the big, sluggish BBs like GK, Yamato, etc, use DCSM2 to make the ship more resilient.

Either rudder or damage control are good options. If you like to play agressive go for rudder so you can dogde torps and brawl better. If you arent very agressive go for damage control.

Im using rudder in my german BBs because im more agressive in them. And im using DC in my IJN and USN BBs, i like to stay at middle ranges.

My NC has a AA/resistance build.

SGM2 for life.  There isn't a single battleship in the game I don't run it on.  You'd be surprised how nice it is to be able to dodge incoming fire between salvo's or angle properly between incoming shells!  DC2 is "ok" but premium DCP and knowing when to burn it is a far better solution all around IMO.

I have one ship where I run DCSM2 in that slot.

I'm glad it works for you, I can't stand how sluggish that ship is in game without SGM2! =\

Am I totally insane for considering Propulsion Modification 2 in that slot? The current meta results in me spending a lot of time in North Carolina with my bow pointed at the enemy creeping forward and then creeping in reverse or even sometimes just coming to a dead stop. Being able to get up to speed quicker in a panic situation seems useful.
