Can someone tell me if there is a mod out there that allows you to be able to see the armor thickness and weak points of an enemy ship in game? If so, is it legal? That was something WoT Blitz did, but an in-battle armor weakspot viewer would be considered an unfair gameplay advantage and get you banned.

In my opinion, anyone looking for outside mods to give them an edge over everyone else is just plain cheating. And anyway, you can look up armor values of every ship in the tech tree minus the premiums not in the shop. Enjoy the game as is, learn the armor values of the ships you may face before going into battle with the particular ship you have cued up and you should do fine. And if all else fails, just spam HE and set fires

I would imagine some of the aiming reticles have found their way into the game as well. I hate to see all modding stopped because it kind of acts like a "research and development" for the game itself. Obvious cheating mods of course are verboten and need to be dealt with. Mods that do simple things like change captain's portraits, ships flags or camouflage appearance (only to user) seem benign as well as well as the many sound mods that are available. I think many of those that are done well should be incorporated into the game as quality of life improvements assuming they violate no copyrights. As far as an in game armor vulnerability locater? Yeah gonna vote no..

Imagine if you could put a hit skin on ships. You would know exactly where the citadel was, where the armor belt is (I still waste a few salvos on the side of KM BBs). I can almost guarantee you would be getting blown out of the water a lot quicker if others used it on you.

You can see the armor layout in port and study them there. Edited August 13, 2017 by Sovereigndawg

I 100% recommend it, especially if you want to make things look better/bigger. WG also put one out as well. I've never used it, so IDK what they have. Neither have what you are asking for though. And you can always check on the armored profile of nearly every ship in your port by looking at them in the tech tree.

In the time it took you to do this, you'd learn the armor profiles of every ship in the game. But no one wants this to be a thing so no one will help you. I'm talking about the mods supposedly helping get an advantage over someone just playing the game vanilla , (no Mods) at all, like me. If that's your thing, making the shells with lightning tracers or different color torps, , then I say go for it. But if it's going to help you aim or show you armor values or weak spots while playing a match, then I call foul and consider it cheating. Paint up those ships anyway you want with a Mod. That doesn't bother me in the least bit. Happy shipping, and I hope everyone plays those EPIC battles.

There are others that there that will show you where shells are going to land on the water. That appears to be ok to use from what WG has said.
