There is a Pan Asia. Will there be a Pan Europe? Austro-Hungarian Navy, Greece (ex-USS Mississippi BB), Netherlands, Poland moved here?, Spain, Turkish Navy (Sultan Selim (ex-Goeben), Sultan Osman I (HMS Agincourt))

Has been asked before, along with Latin American (e.g. Peru, Argentina, Brazil, Chile) had very nice navies in the interwar years. No answer.

For what it's worth, the Agincourt should be an RN ship, not Turkish or Pan-European.  Why?  The Agincourt was ordered by Brazil, then sold to Turkey while under construction.  However, the ship was seized for use by the RN before it was finished.  The HMS Agincourt only ever served with the Royal Navy, and thus should be part of the British tech tree, not any Pan-European or Pan-South American tree.

Doubtful. Pan Asia is where the money's at, making a Pan European tree unnecessary and pointless.

Another issue with this is that many smaller nations ships are usually purchased from countries with a larger industrial base or were obtained through Lend-Lease.  For example, look at how many Omahas (Marblehead, Murmansk) are in game.  Two Leanders (Perth) and Bensons (Lo Yang) are others.

I think there are a few reasons we don't see a pan-European line of ships, and also a pan-Latin and South American line.

One is there weren't a lot of "Famous" ships which belonged to these nations; certainly none were as well known as Tirpitz, Hood, or Arizona. Players want ships they know about.

Another reason that there aren't multiple "pan" lines is there aren't a lot of players asking for them. Again, smaller countries means less players from them and fewer requests for any of their ships.

And finally, I think another reason we don't have these lines is WoW is concentrating on getting the famous lines out first. They haven't even finished the British lines yet; how concerned should they be about the Greek line or the Brazilian line?

Bottom line; it's all about the money, and players vote with their requests and their wallets.

I honestly can't find any source showing Indonesian players demanding that their navy be represented in WoWS. I only recall the Thais, but that was for the Thonburi coastal defence ship, not an ex-British DD. How does Pan Asia DDs count as famous I really have no freaking idea. Famous in that these ships were formerly used by the USN and RN, yes. But Indonesian and Thai navies? No.

But hey, anything to milk Asian cash cows right?
