Ship rosters on screen

Hello all,

Another newbie question. I have seen some YouTube videos where the captain has both friendly and enemy rosters on the screen while playing. Friendkly in upper left corner, and enemy in upper right. I know to press TAB to get the roster, but it does not stay, and it blocks out the screen.

in the settings under battle interface or something like that. you can turn it on permanently there.

Under Settings, on the Controls tab, one of the checkboxes should say something along the lines of "Display Team Rosters". Enable that, and you should be good to go.

I JUST HIT TAB WHEN I WANT THAT. Don't like my screen cluttered up.  Just move my thumb when I want that. Simple. Fast. Just me.

It's in settings, I tried it but didn't like it, to cluttered.

As others have said, you want to enable "Display Team Panels" in options. But you're also going to want to download Aslains and find some team panels that don't look like complete and utter crap. The stock ones that come with the game are beyond ugly and provide next to no useful information unless you like memorizing shapes that look quite similar. I quite like the Historical Ship Contour Icons by Hakabase, but ymmv.
