So I know a majority of us are sitting on millions of XP. Nelson and Missouri are great and all but some of us are never going to want to use doubloons for the free xp conversion. I feel my account is bloated with this stuff. So my idea is wargaming charge a 500K xp charge for a set of 10 normal flags. No economy flags or special flags. This shores up all this useless xp that is sitting around and will never be used. So you might be thinking 500K for 10 flags!!! The point is not to make a killing on the xp rather to dump it all.

Maybe if you sell off 5 million xp you get a special flag called XP Whale. The inner design is a wail with xp shooting out of the blow hole. No special attributes.

If they let you spend off your elite ship XP, it'll seriously cut down on FXP conversions, which will cut revenue. I also suspect people will be more mad at having a bad conversion rate than they would simply not having the option at all.

I kinda like having the ship XP as a record of how much I have played a ship. A badge of sorts.

I'm not sure if this is really that common an issue people are encountering. Maybe if you have a lot of Premium ships and only want to go up maybe 3 lines or so, but I don't think that's the majority of people.

As I posted when everyone was going crazy about the "huge" 35-1 conversion special sale weekend.  Wake me when it is like 350 or 500 to one.  Then I may actually spend some money.  As it is now, its ridiculous the amount of xp sitting there and I know many have bazillions more than I do.

That's what I mean though normal xp. I'm sitting about 4-5 million and there is no reason for me to buy doubloons currently  at the moment. I don't know if I'll make future payments for it. So it's just useless.

What do you consider 'bloated?' Currently at 4.75 mil fxp, and about 7 mil sxp... I've heard of people having more than that.

Don't really consider it an issue, but will admit it is a secondary effect of mostly refusing to advance up the tree past tiers 5-7.

 

I don't buy high-tier ships, (at least, not very many,) so the xp just piles up

WG will not do this. The fact that players have millions of ship XP sitting around leads to impulse purchases on their part when they need free XP, especially when there are XP conversion sales. If you can convert your ship XP to flags (which I assume everyone will do) -- this stream of revenue goes away.

 

Just forget you have that XP.

They'd probably have no objection to adding more things for people to spend Free XP on, but I don't think they want to give up the $$$ from players converting it by letting it be spent directly from ships.

I have 27,663,903 ship XP.  To convert it all would cost $4431.54.  I think if WG wanted to offer a sale for some of us I think a lot of us would appreciate it.  Maybe WG could make it so the more XP you convert the cheaper it is?  I don't know, I'm just sitting on all this and there is really no place to spend it.

I hear you on this, I also have tons of XP sitting on ships that I will never spend money on to convert. I would love to have the option to shut off earning XP on elite ships just like in WoT.

One thing I could see is selling premium consumable for xp.

 

It would cost me a grand or so to convert all the xp to free xp. Spoiler alert, this will never happen in a million years.

I'm sitting on 3.7 million XP and 250K free XP, I've already had Missouri since it came out and I don't even play ships without all of the upgrades I want.  I've got more than 1.6 million XP on premium ships alone.  I appreciate that that's hardly much compared to others who've been playing a lot long than me but it ain't nothing. 

 

Beyond what we know it's for, what is all that accumulating XP good for?  I suppose the question is a philosophical one, although millions of XP is useless, practically speaking.

 

 

BTW, speaking things in the game that would be nice but will never be: Tier 10 ships with the same captain perks as with premium ships.
