I cant trick myself to buy Prinz Eugen

I like collecting premium ships and end up buying most of the ones that show up on the weekly sale and I already spent more than 2k on this game.

This week is the Prinz Eugen, and I just can't justify the purchase. I try so hard to trick my head.

I even brainwash myself, "I f**king love the look... I need this ship in my port!!!"

But it's not working out very well and I just can't think of the excuse to buy the ship.

Sure, I do buy premium ships solely on looks, but... $49 dollars for a Hipper with better look?

I don't know... I just want something unique.

I don't want it to perform better than Hipper, But I want Prinze Eugen to have something unique.

I seriously think WG should have done something special for her.

You can train captains with no problem in her.

Move past it and get a Roon, sell your Hipper and then have the Prinz as a trainer

The Prinz makes more money than the Hipper and the premium camo has a bonus to Commander Experience. You can also get the other premium camo that has the extra bonus for credits, too.

 I would buy it just for the name if I could. Prinz Eugen. Sounds uncomfortably appealing to me. Bonus points for having lasers for guns.

I liked Hipper but sold it when I got Prinz Eugen in a Santa Box in December. It is a good trainer and not a bad ship.

Of course I like my Roon and Hindenburg better but for T8 it is pretty decent. AA is decent. Guns are excellent, armor is German standard (not bad), torpedos are good.

Is it the best at T8? Not by far, but it doesn't pretend to be.

If you all ready own all of the premiums that you can get in a super container, then if you get a super container with a ship it will revert to a Gremyashchy or an  Imperator Nikolai I  does a ship collector need any more incentive than that? If so the camo is cool and you get +50% for training captains in her.

I've been hesitant to buy the Prinz as well; however after going up the german tech tree and getting Hipper I felt a lot more comfortable making the purchase, as my experience in the Hipper has been great, a lot more entertaining than the New Orleans was.

She makes bank (especially with the alt camo) and since I sold my hipper when I moved on to the Roon I am glad to have the Prinz in port... but it is a lot ...

The only thing special about Prinz Eugen, other than name recognition, is the camo.  Even then, to get the best camo for Prinz, you have to make another, separate doubloons purchase AFTER buying Prinz.  Combat wise, she is essentially a copy & paste of Adm.Hipper.

I bought Prinz Eugen today against everyone's advice.  I'm loving her so far. She and Graf Spee are my two favorite cruisers I think.

One man's trash is another's treasure...I tend to forget about the 'conventional wisdom' and try it myself.  If I then don't like it, then it was my decision.
