I never felt like Ramsay's interactions in the US series were forced for drama. American business owners are products of a different culture.

 

He was dealing with much more stubborn, prideful, blind pricks in the US than England. So he had to get more animated to get through to them.

 

I feel like at least a few of his episodes in the US series wound up with very heartfelt endings. And then there's stuff like Amy's Baking Company that's just too insane to be fake.

 

Who remembers the family-owned New Orleans restaurant where, after he helped the owners and their grandma get back on track, they invited him back several months later to show how successful they were and Grandma greeted him with a freshly baked cake just for him? That place is still going and still successful.
