Change smoke mechanics

Remove the ability off all ships from DDs to BBs to fire accurately from inside smoke regardless of whose spotting. Any ship firing from inside smoke should automatically suffer a 50% dispersion penalty to its gunfire. Its a idiotic mechanic of allowing ships to fire with pin point accuracy while in smoke..if that is the case then everyone might as well get radar. The purpose of smoke is to hide SO U CANNOT BE SEEN..which means..YOU CANT SEE OUT which means you are BLIND AND CANT SHOOT ACCURATELY.....unless..YOU HAVE RADAR

Honestly, smoke mechanics do need to change.

Smoke mechanics and carrier balance are the two biggest things in game that are broken IMO.

OP, do you really think that's gonna help your WR?

Learn to hit with your guns and you can kill them before they smoke.

Except the two ship types (DD and UK CL) that generally have smoke are reliant on that for survival due to lower armour and/or hit points. And, by all means correct me if I'm wrong, all ships have "radar" and gunnery control just not active scan radar consumable. Which even without, in theory, especially with BB spotting craft airbourne, they could get directions for aim adjustment and all from sources that can see.

I can agree that BB's need to not be immune just because they hide in smoke, some of the cruisers, not all, should have a little less impunity. But UK CL and DD, need to touching. But till Wargaming finds a reasonable way to balance it that DD's and UK CL keep the smoke they need, without getting trolled by a BB blowing it away that wants to take a shot while hidden, anyone machine gunning you from smoke trace the tracers back and unload, most are dumb enough to be broadside and still/low speed to citadel them to oblivion if a cruiser or HE nuke them if a DD.

I never said you did, my comment of "keep the smoke they need" was linked to the comment after it referring to Wargamings trials of gunfire blowing smoke away, but UK CL, RU and USN DD's are heavily reliant on their guns, and without open water invis fire, which needed to go, and the fact they have not lowered how long a DD is spotted after a shot, it takes an eternity to regain stealth firing a salvo. DD's have to deal with dispersion as it is like everyone else, now add the smallest guns in the game that sure, I can land 50 his from smoke in just over 12 seconds in a USN DD if I land every hit, but dispersion and the armour of a BB, 10 may do damage, hopefully they start a fire or two, the other 40 are no pens and damage. UK doesn't even get HE except Belfast. Add that on top of camo and CSM1 on higher tier ships and oddballs like Ark Beta on top of just aiming and praying you aren't in Radar/hydro range to be spotted even in the smoke, or a torp barrage that you won't be able to dodge, and you need to have a teammate spotting for you to see an enemy, otherwise, your as blind as they are.

Like I said, the system needs a rework, I agree because it gets too crazy with some of the groups hidden by smoke, I don't think accuracy debuff is the way to go especially with how bad at those Wargaming is at implementing them (Defensive AA becoming deleter of planes on cruisers, fires, the emergency take off skill over compensaiting the reload debuff so it's a useless skill, etc).

Learn to not sit on the map borders letting your team get erased in a high tier BB, then complain when you are melted from smoke as the last remaining ship on your team.

Had to fix that for you given I've had the OP in games.
